I’m not the biggest rugby fan. You probably guessed. Actually, I’m not the biggest sports fan at all. I always feel sad for the losing team. And I get bored bored bored when I watch TV for too long. (Unless I have something delicious to snack on, that is.) My husband, on the other hand, loves rugby almost as much as I love baking cupcakes. So I figured, let’s see if we can let the two overlap for a minute. The result? Green and gold cupcakes!
I know they don’t look all that scrumptious with such bright food coloring, but they are rather tasty, I promise. And you still have time to make them before South Africa’s opening match on Sunday (or so I hear). Just follow my simple vanilla cupcake recipe, divide the batter into three parts and colour with different food colouring (light green, dark green and yellow), scoop a bit of each into each cupcake liner, and there you go! Very fun and very easy. Oh and the flags I got from the Crazy Store, what a bargain.
