B and L's Strawberry Smoothie Recipe
Strawberries blended with milk, yogurt, sugar, vanilla and ice.
Yummmm. :) I took the suggestions of other reviewers and used 1 T. of sugar, vanilla yogurt, and 1 t. of vanilla extract. I also threw in a banana. It was out of this world! My mom didn't say much... she was too busy downing the glass. :P But afterwards she commented on how good it was. And it was! Good, that is. :D
Add more strawberries..it'll be like strawberry yogurt if you only put six... I put ten..
I made this recipe this morning for my two young children. I used frozen strawberries instead of fresh since it's November--plus, I have found that using frozen fruit brings iciness to smoothies without watering them down. My youngest child is currently demolishing his breakfast smoothie, but my older child took a few sips and isn't touching it--maybe the plain yogurt had too much of a tangy flavor for him? I might try it with vanilla next time to see if he'll go for it. I tasted it and think it tastes just like a strawberry milkshake!
My first smoothie and I really liked it! Instead of plain yogurt, I used light vanilla yogurt. This eliminated the need for the vanilla extract and white sugar called for. Replace strawberries with frozen berries and a banana...yum! The possibilities are endless.
Instead of plain yougurt I used non-fat strawberry banana and I used frozen strawberries that I had in my freezer. I also went off of other moderations: 1 T sugar and 1 t. vanilla. turned out well.
I love this recipe! It's not your typical strawberry smoothie. I love the vanilla and sugar in it. :)
Very good. I didn't use ice i just froze the strawberries and I added a banana. I used a little more milk, and vanilla yogurt. I accidently used 2 tbs vanilla extract. This came out so tasty! Yum!
