I’ve been making cake pops! Keep an eye on Spatula Magazine for the recipe soon… x UPDATE: The recipe can be found here. Enjoy!
I’ve been experimenting with some new flavours. At the top is a S’more Cupcake (vanilla cake filled with chocolate and topped with toasted marshmallow cream) and at the bottom is a Cookies and Cream experiment. I’m not quite happy with the results yet, but watch this space for recipes when I’ve perfected them! x

A while ago I wrote a post about things I want to eat around the world, one of them being a green tea Kit Kat in Tokyo. Well, since then two awesome things have happened. When I saw Simon Cowell’s recommendation on the front of this book, I was instantly intrigued. I mean, it’s not every day that he has something nice to say, right? So in spite of the fact that there are hundreds of cupcake- and whoopie pie cook books out there, I decided that this one was worth trying … [Read more…]

Tomorrow is National Braai Day (or officially Heritage Day) here in South Africa. Most of the people in the cirlcles of my life don’t really celebrate the holidays in our calendar. Unless sleeping late and not going to the office counts as “celebrating”. Maybe it does? Anyway, I will be stoked if this changes on … [Read more…]

We had our wedding in December last year, in an old aircraft hanger on a farm called Diemerskraal. We really bought into the whole DIY thing (as much as I used to promise myself I never would), and we did almost everything except the main food buffet ourselves. With the help of our families, our … [Read more…]
I don’t normally go looking for Valentines day presents, I don’t subscribe to the whole idea of the day very much. But I was so happy when I saw these in Woolworths the other day (maybe because my husband is a big fan of Batman), that I had to get them. Cute, don’t you think? … [Read more…]
